  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1/2 of a Medium Size Onion, Diced
  • 1/2 of a Green Bell Pepper, Diced
  • 1/2 of a Carrot, Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
  • 3 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 can Fired Roasted Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 can Chili Beans, Undrained
  • ½ cup Mushrooms, Chopped

Directions:

  1. Get a non-stick pan and put it over medium heat. After a minute put 1 tablespoon of Olive oil.
  2. When the Olive oil has warmed up, add the beef, bell pepper, onion, garlic, and carrots. Use a spoon or spatula and mix them together.
  3. Cook all of the ingredients for 7-9 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.
  4. Add the tomatoes, spices, and tomato juice in the mixture.
  5. Bring all of the ingredients to a boil.
  6. After mild boiling, reduce the heat to a minimum and cover the mixture.
  7. Cook the ingredients for an hour and a half. Cook them with occasional stirring to avoid hard clumps and sticking.
  8. After an hour and 30 minutes, raise the temperature to medium again.
  9. Add the mushrooms and beans and cook for another 5 minutes.
  10. Put the chili in a bowl. Serve and Enjoy!

That is pretty much it! It does take a while to cook, but the initial phase is just all about mixing the ingredients together. Take note that the beef should be brown enough before you slow cook it for an hour and a half to ensure that the beef will taste good after it is done.
