Large numbers of people gathered to enjoy the Hispanic Cultural Heritage Festival in Fontana, titled “La Grand Fiesta,” which was held at Mirror Park on September 18th.

Audiences were entertained by star artist Mexico Lind, starring Los Angeles Ballet Folklorico and Jaime Cuera’s Mariachi Garibaldi.

Previously, participants would dance and sing along to the music of Serena’s tribute group, Serena Moss. It was a last minute replacement for the originally planned group, Las Cafeteras.

The event began with a presentation by La Sole Flamenco, a classical Spanish dance company based in Fontana.

Many locals were delighted that the celebration took place again this year after it was canceled in 2020 due to concerns about the coronavirus.

Several grocery stores were popular at the event, and helpful Honda folks stopped by to distribute 600 free pallets. There were also many activities for the children.

The Gran Fiesta was held in conjunction with Hispanic Cultural Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15.
