Wittner has taken concrete action to better educate his team about Indigenous culture by partnering with Culture is Life.

Culture is Life will work with Wittner to provide cultural training across its head office and store network, helping the brand learn about the history of the areas it operates, providing the information to recognize the country appropriately.

Culture is Life is a non-profit organization that works to inspire change by supporting projects and programs rooted in cultural activity and expression.

Led by CEO Belinda Duarte, Culture is Life supports Indigenous-led solutions that strengthen the connection to culture and country, working to address common issues facing First Nations people and raise community awareness. in the broad sense to reframe the relationship that non-Indigenous people have with the First Peoples of Australia.

Speaking about the partnership, Wittner said the team was excited to learn more about the lands they are working on.

“Wittner was founded in Australia over 100 years ago, so we understand the importance of educating ourselves about what it means to be Australian.

“That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Culture is Life, an Indigenous-led non-profit organization that will help us with our cultural education.

“The Wittner teams are eager to embrace this education and share it with the wider community.

“Each store will have carefully designed signage, unique to its location, to show our recognition of the country and encourage others to learn more about the cultural heritage of their region.

“We are proud and privileged to work with Culture is Life and help support their cause,” said the company.

Wittner operates 54 independent stores and outlets and has 28 dealerships in David Jones.
