Conference organized to strengthen national tourism resources

The 6th Annual Taihu World Cultural Forum was held Monday through Wednesday in Bengbu City, Anhui Province. Conference participants shared their views on topics such as cultural diversity, the Belt and Road initiative, pandemic prevention and control, environmentally friendly construction, integration culture and tourism, poverty reduction and technological development.

The theme of the conference was “Mutual learning among civilizations: Jointly building a community with a common future for humanity”. Nearly 500 Chinese and foreign politicians, renowned academics, representatives of international organizations and business leaders gathered to reflect on views on these topics both online and offline.

“The innovation of cultural heritages will enhance social development,” said Liu Yuzhu, chairman of the board of the China Foundation for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage and former head of the National Administration of Cultural Heritage in one of the “Belt and Road: History and Future of the Road to Civilization” forums.

Protecting and inheriting cultural heritage resources enrich people’s cultural and tourism experiences, Liu said.

Bengbu has unique cultural traditions, such as flower drum lanterns and Sizhou Opera, and efforts will be intensified in international exchanges and cooperation to promote the cultural value and essence of these heritages, Liu said. .

There are more than 70 million people working in the Chinese tourism industry, while there is an urgent need for professionals capable of meeting the high-quality development demand of the country’s tourism industry.
