It was noted during the presentation that the main objective of the Alat Free Economic Zone, which was established last month and will cover a total area of ââ850 hectares, was to provide products with high added value and oriented towards export in accordance with best management practices. .
One of the main objectives was to attract investors providing services through innovative technologies, to contribute to the dynamic and sustainable development of the country’s economy through cooperation between them and Azerbaijani enterprises, as well as to establish tens of thousands of jobs. The creation of this economic zone will pave the way for increasing public and budgetary revenues and attracting new investments.

There was also a presentation of the EU funded project on âExpansion of Community Value Chain in the Greater Caucasus Mountains of Azerbaijanâ. The high-ranking visitor was informed that the pilot area of ââthe project, implemented by “Slow Food” in cooperation with Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, covers Sheki-Zagatala and five regions of the mountainous economic region of Shirvan – Shamakhi , Ismayilli, Gabala, Sheki and Gakh. Slow Food is an approach that promotes healthier eating based on delicious, clean and social principles, while preserving the traditions of national and regional cuisine. The main objective of the project is to increase the income of local agricultural producers and contribute to the economic recovery of rural communities in Azerbaijan by enhancing the gastronomic and cultural heritage.

The cellar with an area of ââ4,398 square meters was built on the basis of modern technology and equipped with the equipment of the French company “Pera”.
Walking through the stand on the history of the factory’s construction, the President of the European Council was informed that the company’s goal was to produce 1.4 million liters of wine per year. In addition, considering the tourism potential of the region, the organization of tourist circuits in the complex and, therefore, to contribute to wine tourism in Azerbaijan is one of the objectives of the company.
