WWE AJ Styles, Walter, Riddle and more added to NXT New Year’s Evil

Next week is WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, and the planned event card appears to be in full view after tonight’s episode of NXT. Throughout the night we had multiple storylines chasing, and the main event of the night sealed the lineup for the NXT Women’s Championship game, so there is plenty to do including AJ Styles, Walter , Riddle, and more. Let’s start with AJ Styles, who didn’t appear in person but appeared on the video screen during Grayson Waller’s promo and celebration of his appearance on Raw.

Styles said, “Waller, thanks for coming to the show last night, Monday Night Raw. You got what you wanted, but you got the wrong kind of attention. See, I’ll be at NXT next week. , and I’ll see you at New Year’s Evil! Now he’s billed as Styles takes on Waller on the show and not as a match, so that could be a seed for a future match between the two, maybe in a TakeOver We might also see this turn into a match before the event happens.

Then we had a showdown between the current Tag Team Champions Imperium and MSK, which challenged Imperium in a match. Walter then came to the screen and told MSK that they were unworthy of the titles, seemingly putting an end to their title hopes. It was at this point that the MSK Shaman and Resident Brother Riddle appeared on screen, recalling and disputing what Walter had said. He told her no one talks to them like that and decided to challenge Imperium to a 6-Man Tag match at New Year’s Evil. Walter agreed and sealed the deal.

Next, we signed a Championship Unification Match contract between Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong and North American Champion Carmelo Hayes. Everything went as well as most contract signings, and next week only one person will be leaving as Champion.

We have also received a video package for the NXT Championship game between NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker, which is slated to be the show’s main event and will continue the black and gold star rivalry and NXT 2.0.

Finally, tonight’s main event was the match between Raquel Gonzalez, Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai and Cora Jade to decide who would face NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose in the New Years game, and after a stellar match full of almost Pins Gonzalez and Jade were standing, so they will face Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship.

We could add another game before next week or include another segment, but it looks like this will be the final lineup for New Year’s Evil, and it looks pretty stacked so far.
