Brighton and Hove’s most popular takeaways revealed

New research from Just Eat has ranked Brighton and Hove’s favorite takeaways, with the country’s regional flavors and unique dishes taking the top spot.

The delivery company analyzed more than 10 million restaurant reviews across the UK to find the country’s most popular takeaways.

Japanese cuisine had a popularity score of 92.80, while in the Southeast, sushi was ranked the favorite dish with a score of 65.27.

A Just Eat spokesperson said: “With the highest average score of 60.37 out of a possible 100, Italian cuisine is proving to be the most popular food choice in the UK. Bursting with rich Mediterranean flavours, Italian cuisine is a long-term British favourite, with macaroni and cheese (63.5) and lasagne (61.03) among the highest-rated dishes.

“The UK is also a curry-loving nation, with Indian cuisine proving to be the second most popular (59.14). Serving a variety of hot and spicy dishes, the most popular choice is chicken tikka, with a rating of 63.01 out of 100. A savory and aromatic dish that can be served with nutritious brown rice, chicken tikka is a perfect option for a savory weeknight dinner.

“Preparing mid-week meals can be tricky though, due to our busy lives and busy schedules, so it’s no surprise that fast food is the third most popular food choice in the UK.

“With a rating of 58.64, fast food offers both convenience and convenience for food lovers. On closer inspection, burgers are fast food favorites, earning a popularity score of 60.38 out of 100.”

Across the country, Italian cuisine scored the highest of all the cuisines surveyed.

Regionally, Italian cuisine scores highest in London (60.44), the North East (73.57) and Yorkshire and the Humber (69.35).

Londoners like Italian macaroni and cheese the most (with a rating of 77.06), while those in the North East prefer pasta (84.76).

Italian spaghetti is a clear favorite of Leeds locals, with an impressive score of 99.4 out of 100.
