His remarks came during his speech at the opening of a workshop at the Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The workshop was held within the framework of the cooperation between Egypt and Spain in the field of the restoration of antiquities, through the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Heritage Authority of the Palace of the ‘Alhambra and Generalife in Granada, Spain. The workshop will allow the exchange of experiences between the two parties in this field.
Ambassador Berger, the cultural advisor of the Embassy of Spain, the director of the Museum of Egyptian Civilization and other officials attended the opening ceremony.

The Antiques Restoration Workshop takes place from September 19 to 23, in cooperation with the World Antiquities Fund in Spain (ILUCIDARE). This is an ongoing project within the framework of the European Union-funded program to preserve cultural heritage as a source of creativity and innovation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
Conservation experts from the Alhambra Palace Heritage Authority, Generalife and the International Center for the Study of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage will participate in this workshop.
The first set of workshop activities, held on September 19 and 20, was open to the public, where experts explained their vision for the restoration and preservation of antiquities, as well as the techniques of restoration of antiques from mosaics inlaid with earthenware.
The second series of activities, which will be held from September 21 to 23, will see the participation of international professors and experts in the field of restoration and revitalization of Ibrahim Al Kalashni Tekke and Dome. Events include field trips to archaeological areas of historic Cairo.
