Alton Little Theater’s “Lunch with Mr. Lincoln and Friends” October 8

ALTON – As part of Alton Little Theater’s (ALT) “Extra, Extra Entertainment,” ALT is co-sponsoring a fall activity with The Post Commons, “Lunch with Mr. Lincoln & Friends,” at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 1. 8, at the Post Commons.

Up to 60 guests will dine at a four-course heritage luncheon at the Post Commons, 300 Alby St., Alton. The menu will include autumn sangria and other libations in the banquet hall and guests will be entertained by regional commemorator Randy Duncan as Abraham Lincoln. He will be joined by Amy Miller as Mary Todd Lincoln, Michael Cox as Robert Todd Lincoln, Marjorie Handy as author Elizabeth Keckley, and Lee Cox as Special Visitor from the South.

“History, storytelling and cuisine are a most delightful way to celebrate the arrival of fall and the rich history and contributions of Alton Little Theater to the region,” said Lee Cox, Executive Director of ‘ALT.

ALT is the oldest continuous community theater in Illinois. ALT recently launched its 89th season of main stage productions at Showplace, a full lineup of concerts, touring artists and special engagement pieces, all professional in their standards and commitment to the community for a fraction of the cost many big name professional theatres.

Tickets are $45 each, which includes all fees and gratuities. Tickets for all Extra, Extra Entertainment Series engagements, including “Fach Tradition”, are on sale now. Tickets are available through http://www.altonlittletheater.org and through the Showplace box office at 618-462-3205.

The final Extra, Extra series engagements of this season will take place in 2023, with “Sinatra: Last Call,” February 10-12, and “Gee’s Band: A Tribute to Women’s History, the Art of Quilting and America’s Heritage.” , March 24. -26. Tickets for both are on sale now on the ALT website.
