Step 1

Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pressure cooker and add 2 tablespoons of finely chopped garlic with 1 tablespoon of chopped green peppers. Then add 1 chopped onion to the casserole dish and cook over medium heat for a few minutes.

Take ½ kg of mutton and add the pieces to the slow cooker followed by 3 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste. Mix well. Now add 2 tablespoons of red chilli powder, 1 ½ tablespoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, 3 cloves, 1 black cardamom and ½ inch cinnamon stick.

Step 3

Add ½ cup of water and cook for 3 whistles or until the mutton pieces are soft and tender. Meanwhile, sauté 1 sliced ​​onion in oil until it turns brown and crisp and set aside. Now add 1 tablespoon of curd, a pinch of saffron and 1 teaspoon of garam masala. Mix well.

Cook the salan for 10-15 minutes over low heat. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with fried onions. Serve with roast or rice.
